B-b-b-But It’s His Fault

B-B-B-But It’s His Fault

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama
inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough,
a lot of people swallow this BULL.

So once more, a short civics lesson

Budgets do not come from
the White House!

They come from Congress
and the party that controlled Congress
since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore,
the Democrats controlled the budget process
for FY 2008 & FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 & FY 2011. (FY= fiscal year)

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush,
which caused them to compromise on spending,
when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi

& Harry Reid bypased Georg Bush entirely,
passing continuing resolutions to keep
government running until Barack Obama

could take office.
At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill
to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time?
He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these
massive spending bills, and he then signed the omnibus bill
as President to complete FY2009.

Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last
of the Republican budgets.

That deficit was the lowest in five years and

the fourth straight decline in
deficit
spending
.

After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending,

including Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is
“I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.”

From the L. A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they  are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green  card.

3. 75% of  people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
4. Over  2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien  Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by  taxpayers.
5. Nearly  35% of all  inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here  illegally.
6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los  Angeles County  are living in garages.

Our efficient Government

by @ 8:26 am. Filed under National, Politics

“The Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, the government watchdog which oversees how the stimulus monies are spent reports contractors who received money from President Obama’s failed $787 billion stimulus program created or saved 30,383 jobs by the beginning of October.

According to the Wall Street Journal, this report covers only spending on infrastructure and social programs being carried out by private companies, which were awarded about $16 billion in stimulus funds. That amounts to $526,610 per job created or saved.”

$526,610 for each job saved or created. Sounds real efficient to me. Let’s see ~ that would mean $30,000 to $60,000 going to each job’s salary, the remaining $500,000 to all the bureaucrats needed to create it.

And they (congress) really believe that that “government run” health care will cost less? By the example set forth it will cost over 10 times more.

Pee Pee (partisan pelosi)

by @ 11:01 am. Filed under Politics

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi berated town hall and tea party protesters this month, tearfully warning they’d incite violence. Well, there’s been violence all right, at Pittsburgh’s G-20. But it wasn’t the tea partiers.

It takes gall to characterize ordinary Americans, freely exercising their rights of speech and assembly in civic forums, as “mobs” while ignoring a pack of leftist thugs now smashing a U.S. city. But that’s what Pelosi did, directing her righteous tocsin to the Norman Rockwell-like gatherings of Americans who opposed her expansion of government this past summer. ~~
